Christchurch Earthquake
Screeches of fright collide with the deafening of the earthquake. Sewage now looks like a rapidly roving river, drowning the access ways to houses. Crystal clear water bleeds with brown dirty filth. Liquefaction covered gardens and front lawns like a grey pond. Its dense sandy mixture laps against the sides of buildings. Liquefaction and sewage pour over roads and footpaths like a thick quilt. A quiet hush falls over the city; residents frantically seek comfort, away from strong smelling sewage and lifeless liquefaction which has become thier reality.
